Accessibility

Accessibility statement.

We want everyone to be able to use this website, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use.

Our standard

This website is designed and built to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. That is also the level the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) Integrated Accessibility Standards ask websites to meet.

We build the same standard into the websites and apps we deliver for clients.

What we have done

  • Text and interface colours meet AA contrast, including text over photographs, which sits on a dark layer calculated for the brightest part of the image.
  • Every page works with a keyboard, has a visible focus outline, a skip link to the main content and a back-to-top button.
  • Pages use real headings, landmarks and lists, links and buttons have names, and form fields have labels and clear error messages.
  • Buttons and links are at least 24 by 24 pixels, and most are 44 pixels tall.
  • Animations play once or can be paused, and they are switched off when your device is set to reduce motion. The illustrated chat pauses when you hover, focus or tap it.
  • Content is fully available without JavaScript, works at 320 pixels wide and when text is zoomed to 200%.
  • The site is available in English and Spanish, and each page declares its language.

Known limitations

Photographs are decorative and have no text description, because the page text carries all the information.

Some third-party content we link to, such as LinkedIn, is outside our control.
